English Translation of Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen's Arabic Eulogy for Usama bin Laden

The Global Islamic Media Front released yesterday an English translation of Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen's (Al-Shabaab; Movement of the Warrior-Youth) Arabic eulogy for Al-Qa'ida Central (AQC) founder-leader Usama bin Laden, who was killed by U.S. military forces on May 2 in Pakistan. The Arabic original eulogy was released on May 17, as I wrote about HERE. The insurgent movement held a lengthy conference on Bin Laden's killing in Afgoye on MAY 11, which I wrote about HERE.

The Shabab al-Mujahideen Movement General Command Statement Eulogizing the Sheikh Imam Usama bin Laden May Allah Have Mercy on Him

__The Martyr was Victorious, by the Lord of the Kaaba__

We Consider Him Thus, and Allah is His Judge

All praise be to Allah, who said in His Perfect Revelation:
Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Of them some have completed their vow, and some still wait: but they have never changed their determination in the least. (Al-Ahzab: 23)

And may the blessings of Allah be upon His Mujahid Prophet, who said:

By the Being in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, I would love to fight in the way of Allah and be killed, to fight and again be killed, and to fight again and be killed.

And upon his family, companions, and allies. Thereafter:

With patient hearts expecting rewards in the hereafter and sure of Allah's promise, the news reached us of the martyrdom of the hero, leader, and immigrant Sheikh Abu Abdullah Usama bin Muhammad bin Laden, after he had spent his years in Hijra and Jihad in support of the oppressed everywhere. He sacrificed his soul and all that is precious without equal, such that his name was tied to the cause of the Ummah of Islam and became the hope for which many Muslims everywhere had waited in order to regain the stolen land in Beit al-Maqdis at the hands of the accursed Jews.

Today, we stand in tribute and appreciation for the man who is a nation in order to remember his benefit upon the Mujahid generation in our present era. After he drew the path and laid the cornerstone, throngs of Mujahideen are graduating everywhere. He turned the word Jihad, that had scarcely been more than an unattainable dream, into a living reality throughout the lands of the Islamic countries.

Yes, thanks to the efforts of the heroic Sheikh, the founder of Qaedat al-Jihad, the first attacks on American soil were launched, destroying their lofty buildings and shaking them in a manner never before witnessed in history. Today, the Zionist-Crusader enemy takes us into consideration a thousand times over, just as the news of the martyrdom of a man among our leading men puts them in a state of delirium in which they hope afterwards to savor the taste of sleep, even if only for a little while. But how wrong, how wrong! For who is someone who would devotedly recite the Book of Allah day and night, leave the world behind him, and bid farewell to his family and loved ones in the name of selling himself for the purpose of pleasing Allah, other than someone who loved death just as the enemies of Allah and His Prophet love life.

So, O Muslims, do not lose heart nor despair at the parting of the Imam of the Mujahideen at this time, for a human must live and die. Jihad in the path of Allah remains the best method to reach high ranks and ascension. The death of the martyr is easier than any other death, and it is the best of deaths, which the heroic leader Sheikh had always desired. He had always taken the hardest path in order to achieve it. By the Lord of the Kaaba, he was victorious, for we consider him:

in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah,- of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! what a beautiful fellowship! (An-Nisa: 69)

And we only have to rejoice in what the Almighty said:

Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord. They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah. And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve. (Aal-e-Imran: 169-170)

And we say to America and its allies, the Almighty said:

Say: 'Can you expect for us (any fate) other than one of two glorious things- (martyrdom or victory)? But we can expect for you either that Allah will send his punishment from Himself, or by our hands. So wait (expectant); we too will wait with you.' (At-Taubah: 52)

And let the enemies of Allah and His Prophet know that our Jihad is ongoing until the Day of Judgment, for it is either victory and triumph or martyrdom and paradise. So let them rejoice a little, and afterwards let them cry profusely, for the lion Usama left behind him huge armies of Mujahideen who only accept living in freedom. And praise be to Allah who made our leaders and imams die on the battlefield, and their leaders and politicians die in humiliation and shame. It is sufficient for history to witness those whose names were immortalized by blood across generations and never let the eyes of the cowards rest.

Congratulations to you, our Sheikh, for your martyrdom. Sleep well, for it is time for you to rest beside the Most Compassionate and join your loved ones and brothers who came before you, such as Sheikh Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Abu Umar al-Baghdadi, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, Abu Layth Al-Libi, and many others, may Allah accept them all, after you had written the most magnificent of heroic roles and epic battles, and after you had completely fulfilled the responsibility. We witness this for you.
[Poetry]

A young man does not seek glory except through piety ** And does not seek wealth except from spears and swords.
And he does not seek assets except in every barren, arid place. ** He is commissioned as an ally with sharp blades.
We lost him like the loss of the spring. If only we ** had sacrificed thousands of our masters in his place.
He is light on the back of a horse if he gallops ** but he is not light on his enemies.
May the peace of Allah be upon you as an endowment, because I ** see death happening to every honorable person.

Our beloved Ummah, it would do us well to commemorate this precious, blessed occasion and emphasize the story of our Sheikh's life as an example to the coming generations. We are in the direst need of smelling the fragrance of a Sheikh who spent years of his life in the service of Islam and Jihad.
[Poetry]

So, come to the Garden of Eden, because it is ** our first home, and where we made camp.

But we are taken by the enemy, so, I wonder ** will we ever return to our homeland and be safe.
And they claimed that when strangers depart ** and stray from their homeland, they are at a loss.
What exile is worse than our exile in which ** the enemies are now controlling us.

May Allah have mercy upon you, O Usama. You were blessed, whether alive or dead, for you have lived the life of the free and achieved death as a free, proud man. How many beloved martyrs have you bid farewell to in the caravans of martyrs. Now is the time for us to bid farewell to you, with patient hearts expecting rewards in the hereafter, for to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return. We are sad for your departure. May Allah accept you and those with you in His highest paradise.
And we also confirm that we are continuing with the commitment, and your famous oath remains upon our necks until we are victorious or taste what Hamza bin Abdulmutallib tasted, may Allah be pleased with him. And may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
