In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Praise be to Allah, Lord of all that Exists. Prayers and peace upon the noblest of the Prophets and Messengers, and upon his household, his good and pure companions and all follow their path until the Day of Judgment.

To proceed:

Abu Hamed al-Ghazali said: “This world is a farm for the Hereafter. Region is never completed except in this world. Religion and authority are twins. Religion is the foundation and authority is the guard (of religion). That which has no foundation will one day collapse. That which has no guard shall be lost.”[1]

Almighty Allah has guaranteed the victory of this Region. No matter what obstacles are placed in front of its expansion and no matter how hard its enemies try to fight or erase its mark, its assistance will not cease, its light will be revealed, its impact will spread and it shall endure so long as night and day endure, bringing glory to the honorable and humiliation to the disgraced. Allah will send men to His Region, to support it and be victorious by it. This is the glad tidings of the Prophet, prayers and peace be upon him. Jabber bin Sumrah narrated that they Prophet, prayers and peace be upon him, said: “This Deen will not cease to exist and a band of Muslims will fight for it until the Day of Judgment.”Narrated by Muslim.

Allah has raised up for His Religion guardians and heroes to defend it with sword and spear. To assist it, they sacrifice and pay a high price of themselves and their wealth, thereby submitting themselves to the bargain struck at the hands of Truthful and Trustworthy and the guarantee is made to the seller: “Allah hath purchased of the Believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the Garden of Paradise): they fight in His Cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in Truth, through the Law, the Gospel and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.” (Al-Tauba: 111).

In our time, the banner of Jihad has once again been raised, after an awakening has spread among the men of the Ummah. The Ummah began to be aware of the goals and objectives of Jihad and to distance themselves from the banners of nationalism and ethnicity, and the banners of liberation of dirt, and defending the secular and taghut regime which traded upon the issues of the Ummah, the chief of which was the “Palestinian issue”, only to sell it in the marketplace of collaboration and negotiations, becoming a prop and support to the occupier against noble and honest people of the Ummah.

We will quickly stop at the story of one of the men of this Religion, one of its young men who was zealous for this Ummah. He is the martyr, as we consider him, brother Nassir Awad Nassir Faraj al-Kindi, also known as Abu Khaithamah al-Hadrami.

Abu Khaithamah was blessed with good conduct. He loved goodness and called people to it. In return, he was known for his strength and steadfastness in promoting virtue and prohibiting vice. In Allah, he has no fear of the blame of the blamer.

He, may Allah have mercy on him, loved the Jama’at al-Tableegh when he saw their Daw’ah, patience and endurance of injury. On the other hand, he would criticize them for their violations of Shari’ah. He would go to his work – he was a major in the Yemeni army and takes with him a copy of the book Riyadh al-Saliheen and read it to the camp. One day he was giving his lesson in the camp as usual. The commander, a brigadier, asked him on the ruling of one who has abandoned prayer. Abu Khaithamah said to him: “He who abandons prayer is an infidel”. The commander said to him, “I do not prayer.” Abu Khaithamah answered him, “Then you are an infidel”.

Abu Khaithamah kept searching for the truth, because he had not found it in the groups he was with, until Allah guided him and opened his heart to the straight path. He became acquainted with one of the Mujahideen coming from Afghanistan and decided to go there himself to strive fi sabeel Allah.

After Allah guided him to the straight path, he learned the reality of the tawagheet, the magnitude of their crimes, their suspension of Shari’ah, their alliance with the infidels and their appeal to the taghut United Nations (as a legal authority). He had previously been duped by those misleading scholars of evil who obscure from the people the reality of those tawagheet and claim that they are the rightful rulers to whom obedience is owed. We pray to Allah to save us!

Abu Khaithamah threw this world behind him, left his job and traveled to Afghanistan in order to remove the humiliation and shame from himself and his Ummah which was being assailed by its enemies from all sides.

Abu Khaithamah stayed in Afghanistan for a long time and became increasingly certain that this was the path that would lead to the liberation of the Bait al-Maqdis, Masra (night journey and ascension) of the Messenger, Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him. He persistently asked Sheikh Usama Bin Laden, may Allah protect him, to dispatch him on a martyrdom operation. He, Allah mercy on him, would pray: “O Allah, grant me martyrdom in your cause by which You shall laugh at me”.

When he returned from Afghanistan to Yemen at the beginning of September 2001, the lackey Yemeni authorities demanded his imprisonment under the charge of conducting Jihad and defending the sanctities. He escaped with his Religion, and was pursued for more than a year. He, may Allah have mercy on him, was high-minding and continuously giving. He did not tire or fatigue, and, despite his many preoccupations in that period, was always inspiring and training his Mujahideen brothers who had not been able to go forth to the land of Jihad. He was modest and of good counsel and in Allah never feared the reproach of the critic.

In October 2002, after being pursued for more than a year by the agents of the Cross, the government of Ali Abdullah Saleh and his soldiers, Allah the Exalted and Sublime allowed our hero Abu Khaithamah and his brother Abu al-Hareth al-Badawi to carry out a martyrdom operation against the French oil tanker Limburg off the coast of al-Mukalla in Hadramawt province. They massacred the Crusader enemies of Allah and their bodies were scattered in the sea to be restored on the Day of Judgment from the guts of the sea creatures.

The Almighty said: “Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the Presence of their Lord. They rejoice in the Bounty provided by Allah: and with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they cause to grieve.”(Al-i-Imran: 169-170).

Our martyr, as we consider him and Allah is the judge, departed at the age of 40, leaving behind him a wife, a daughter, and his elderly mother who was more than 70 years old.

He lived a praiseworthy life and died a martyr. His reward will be Paradise, Allah Almighty permitting.

May Allah have mercy on you, Abu Khaithamah the mercy of the innocent. May he make tranquil Paradise your abode with the Prophets, the Honest, the martyrs and the Righteous – the best of all companions. We beseech Allah to gather us with you in the tranquil Paradise.
