Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula's Amir Eulogizes Usama bin Laden

Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) based in Yemen released a statement eulogizing Al-Qa'ida Central founder-leader Usama bin Laden on May 11. The statement is signed by AQAP's amir (leader), Abu Basir Nasir al-Wihayshi (also frequently transliterated Wuhayshi, Wahayshi). No mention is made of Bin Laden's successor. Gregory Johnsen, a Princeton doctoral candidate and expert on Yemen, has written an excellent post and article in a special issue of West Point's Combating Terrorism Center's Sentinel on AQAP post-Bin Laden.
