Afghanistan Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid Claims Kamikaze Bombing Outside Kunduz Military Recruiting Center

*Below is a statement from the Afghanistan Taliban's senior spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claiming a kamikaze (suicide) attack at an Afghan government military recruitment center in the city of Kunduz, which is located near the northern border with Tajikistan. The bombing killed 36 people, according to a report in The New York Times.


31 government officials and soldiers killed, 34 wounded in martyr attack

KUNDUZ, 14 – As many as 31 puppets including Afghan soldiers and officers were killed and 34 more were badly wounded in a martyrdom operation conducted by Saifullah, a loin of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kunduz city, the capital of

the province of the same name on Monday at about 2:00 pm, local time.

The martyrdom attack was carried out on the army recruitment department where more than 100 government officials and soldiers were present.

Separately, Adurhman, chief of police in Kunduz including 18 policemen were killed on Mar. 11, 2011, while Abdul Wahid Omar Khel along with five of his gunmen were killed on Mar. 10, 2011.
