Afghanistan Taliban Statement: "Thousands of People" Attend "Martyr Awal Gul's Funeral"

Thousands of people attend funeral of martyred Mualim Awal Gul

Feb. 08 – The funeral service of martyred Mualim Awal Gul was held in Najm-ul-Jihai area in Jalalabad city yesterday. Thousands of the people participating in the funeral ceremony of the renowned commander expressed their profound sorrow over his martyrdom and regarded the martyred Mualim Awal Gul as innocent chanting slogans against US-NATO invaders. On the occasion, the statement of the of the Islamic Emirate was read out to the large gathering of the attendees in which the commander Awal Gul was referred to as a courageous martyr and that the retribution for the martyrdom of Mulaim Awal Gul must be sought.
