New Islamic State of Iraq Video on Bomb-making & IEDs

The Islamic State of Iraq's Al-Furqan Media Foundation released a major new video on January 21 entitled "The Most Effective Bombs," which it "dedicated" to Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). The video focuses on the ISI's bomb-making capabilities and features an interview with one of its officials about the manufacture and use of bombs, as well as footage of IEDs used against Iraqi and U.S. military forces. Footage of bomb construction is shown as audio clips of Al-Qa'ida Central leaders such as Usama bin Laden, the late Mustafa Abu'l Yazid, and Abu Yahya al-Libi are played.

Despite suffering major losses in 2010, including the killing of its two founding leaders, the ISI continues to be a potent force inside Iraq.
