Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen in Somalia Issues Condolences for Martyrdom of Al-Qa'ida Central's Afghanistan Commander Mustafa Abu al-Yazid
The Somalia jihadi-insurgent group Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabaab; "Movement of Warrior-Youth"), via its Al-Kata'ib (Brigades) media wing, has just released a statement of condolence in commemoration of the recently-killed Al-Qa'ida Central (AQC) general commander in Afghanistan, the Egyptian Mustafa Abu al-Yazid. AQC confirmed his "martyrdom," along with his wife, three daughters, and a granddaughter, two days ago in a statement.
The Harakat al-Shabab statement calls on Muslims, most of whom do not support the transnational jihadi-takfiri movement that AQC is part of, to see al-Yazid's death as a call to battle. The group vows that it and its allies will be victorious through the blood of "martyrs" like him.
