Afghanistan Taliban: Statement Claiming Today's "Martyrdom Operation" in Kabul

Martyr attack hits heart of Kabul city, Afghan capital

KABUL, May 18 - There is recent report that Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate carried out martyr bomb attack on a US-NATO convoy of military vehicles in the heart of Kabul city, about two 2 hours ago, at about 8:am local time, on Tuesday morning, May 18, 2010. Dozens of US-NATO soldiers have been killed or injured in the martyrdom operation. This the breaking news update, get back soon for further details.

Mujahid Isamuddin, residents of Qara Bagh district of Kabul, slammed his vehicle filled with about 750 kg explosives into a convoy of US-NATO troops traveling along Dar-ul-Aman road in Kabul city, targeting a vehicle of a top-level US-NATO official, Zabihillah Mujahid, a spokesman for al-Emarah said in a telephonic conversation from the site.

Zabihullah Mujahid added that 6 of their vehicles had been destroyed in the martyr car bomb attack (VBIED) and scores of NATO soldiers killed but the exact number of death and injury toll is, so for, unclear.
