Palestinian Jihadi-Takfiri Group says it Fired Rocket at Israeli Military Base

A new jihadi-takfiri group operating in the occupied Palestinian Territories, Jama'at al-Tawhid wa'l Jihad [Group of Absolute Monotheism & Struggle] in "Bayt al-Maqdis" (literally the "Holy House," an Arabic name for Jerusalem), has issued a statement claiming to have fired a homemade rocket at an Israeli military base, "Nirim" (Nee-reem). The base, according to the statement, is located east of the area of al-Qararah in the Gaza Strip. A rocket was reported to have been fired from Gaza into the Negev Desert late Tuesday night by the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz.

After firing the rocket, the "lions of Tawhid" [absolute monotheism] escaped "safely."

An example of the type of homemade rockets used in such attacks can be seen in the video below, produced by Jama'at al-Tawhid wa'l Jihad to document a December 2009 rocket firing.
